Richard Thompson, PhD

Clinical expert in paediatric hepatology

Richard Thompson is Professor of Molecular Hepatology at King’s College London and Honorary Consultant at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Thompson specializes in pediatric liver disease and is particularly interested in genetic liver disease, both in children and adults. His group has identified several disease genes, and have established important genotype/phenotype correlations. He is also the Clinical Lead for the Liver Molecular Genetics service.
