Integra Therapeutics receives Catalan Society of Biology Award 2022

Integra Therapeutics has received the Catalan Society of Biology (SCB) Award for best innovative start-up of 2022 for developing the next-generation of gene writing tools for therapeutic purposes in the field of life sciences.

The SCB Board of Directors recognised Integra Therapeutics’ innovative technology, the benefit to society and the team‘s ability to bring the product to market.

The award ceremony took place during the seventh edition of the Biology Night, on 14 July in the cloister of the Institut d’Estudis Catalans in Barcelona, which brought together the scientific community and was supported by political representatives such as the Minister of Research and Universities of the Government of Catalonia, Gemma Geis, and the manager of the Department of Culture, Education and Science of the Barcelona City Council, Marta Clari.

The SCB also honoured Dr Roser González Duarte, Emeritus Professor of Genetics at the University of Barcelona, for her career; Dr Cristian Cañestro, in the category “Scientific article”; Dr Cristina Junyent and Dr Cristina Losantos, in the category “Dissemination”; Dr Ferran Nadeu, in the category “Young researcher”, and Laia Fita, in the category “Research work in high school”.
